Oahu, Hawai'i

I went to Hawai'i back in November with someone I love, to be a witness to a ceremony of love. Des and David tied the knot on November 5th, 2016. I've known Des & David for about 8 years now, and they're one of the reasons Chicago has been so amazing to me. They're some of the kindest people I have ever met in my entire life. I am better just from knowing them and I love all the time that I am ever able to spend with them. Also, their wedding was my first wedding, that I actually attended and didn't shoot! The trip itself was actually really short, we were only physically there for 3 whole days. Still, it was amazing trip. I got to hang out with some old friends I hadn't seen in forever!!! I definitely learned to not be so anxious over not feeling like I'm doing enough, and I learned I need to take a breather sometime. I already can't wait to go back.

Places we visited and loved on Oahu:
__

Best/Legit place to get a spam musubi: Literally, any 7/11. NO JOKE. My last snack was a 7/11 spam musubi, and I am not ashamed to admit we visited 7/11 about 3 times. If you love musubi like I do, they even have ones with eggs!!! Also, the snacks and drinks are on point. Lol. Can't believe I'm hyping up a 7/11.

Chillest local place to get breakfast: Cafe Haleiwa. Get the strawberry waffles with whipped cream and some guava nectar juice.

Best place to hang with green sea turtles: Hale'iwa Ali'i Beach Park. The beach itself is pretty big, so when you roll through and park, the turtles will be along the water, but you have to walk as far left on the beach as possible. We found two of them sleeping in the sand. They were HUGE. Also, they're endangered, so let them sleep!

Where you can get your coffee fix: Coffee Gallery. I love a good frozen coffee, and they had a delicious one. I think it was vanilla, but I'm not sure anymore. It's been so long! >.<

Best place to have a wedding: Mokule'ia Beach!! It was so beautiful!!!

Best friend to find yourself taking pictures with: Jane Chu :))

The yummiest shaved ice you will ever eat: Matsumoto Shave Ice. Beware though, take your pics and then eat it quick. This sucker melts crazy fast.

The best joint to get malasadas: Leonard's Bakery, duh. I'm really sad the guava ones weren't in season, because guava is like one of my fave fruits. The banana one was pretty delicious, though.

Best city to look at street art: Honolulu. There's a beautiful Audrey Kawasaki and Obama mural waiting for you. You just gotta go looking for them. :)

Silly, haha

Gotta have the Instaxs!

He is a MESS lol

Ugh.

They're so cute!

Even better when you're in front of it.
